Soldier-Moment in Time

WALT: Use adjectives (describing words) to make our writing interesting to the reader.
We pretended we were a soldier in the war, using our senses to describe what it was like.

I saw...giant explosions every where.
I heard...loud gun shots every 5 seconds.
I felt...horrified of getting out the trenches because there where huge guns  going off.
I wondered...if  I would survive.

  1. To Jayme,
I wonder if horrified is the best word to use for I felt? Could nervous, scared, petrified be ones that better describe how you felt about leaving the trenches? You have added adjectives to your sentences well Jayme. Could you add an adjective to describe the trenches at all?
